Regulatory closure and associated permitting related to the closure of a CCDD facility permitted under 35 Ill. Adm. Code 1100. WCG serving as owner’s rep during contractor activities implementing the Closure Plan. The facility actively operated up until approximately 2012, when active fill operations ceased. Although active filling has not occurred since 2012, WCG has been providing CCDD Permit and regulatory compliance activities on behalf of the facility owner/operator since the early 2000s.
WCG prepared the Bid Documents related to the closure work, assisted with the hiring of the contractor, and is serving as the owner’s representative throughout the closure work. The Closure Plan is being implemented by an earthmoving contractor and is expected to be substantially completed by the end of the 2020.
