Transforming a Historic Building into a Supportive Living Facility with Native Landscaping

Client: Gleason Architects | Location: Maywood, Illinois  

This site was listed on the Illinois National Register of Historic Places and was awarded state funding for approved restoration. Weaver Consultants Group (WCG) was engaged in the efforts to convert the building into a supportive living facility. The grant specified that the landscape must feature native plants or native cultivars. The WCG team enhanced the accessibility to the building and restored the landscape. After completion, this project achieved LEED Bronze Certification.
