Landscape Screening and Animation for a Proposed Landfill Expansion

The City of Commerce expressed concerns about the planned expansion of an existing landfill, particularly regarding the visual impact of the upward expansion and the appearance of soil stockpiles closer to the interstate. In response, the client enlisted the help of Weaver Consultants Group (WCG) to create a visual representation of the proposed design. WCG developed a fully 3D animated movie showcasing the view of traveling over a mile of interstate northbound toward the Commerce City exits. Through animation software, WCG was able to illustrate the visual effects of the expansion would be minimal. The city and client were pleased with the video production, and the city supported permitting the expansion as it moved forward.
