Weaver completed a due diligence evaluation of the formerly largest and oldest East Coast refinery in support of a competitive bid for acquisition of this highly sought after property in Philadelphia. Working under an expedited time frame, Weaver conducted multiple site visits and reviewed thousands of documents regarding the environmental history of the approximately 1,300-acre complex to support the preparation of an ASTM-compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessment. Drawing on our expertise with environmental investigation and remediation, risk assessment, and environmental compliance and permitting, we supported our client’s winning bid for the acquisition of the property with an evaluation of potential costs associated with environmental obligations associated with the facility.
