Client: River Forest Country Club | Location: Elmhurst, Illinois

The River Forest Country Club in Elmhurst, Illinois, commissioned Weaver Consultants Group (WCG) to evaluate and redesign the club’s main entrance on Grand Ave. The club wanted to create a more welcoming entrance that matched their renovated clubhouse and improved amenities. The entry gates were moved further into the property to allow vehicles to enter the site safely without causing disruptions to Grand Ave. traffic. The repositioning of the columns, lighting, and decorative fencing was done to enhance the entry experience with landscape beds with seasonal colors, textures, and bio-diversity plants. Through thoughtful planting design, the focus is drawn from the foreground to the golf course beyond.
