Comprehensive Surveying Services Provided for Texas Public Library

Flood Study, Topographic & Tree Surveys, Boundary Surveys & Easements

Client: City of Cedar Hill | Location: Cedar Hill, Texas

From 2020 to 2023, Weaver Consultants Group (WCG) provided various surveying services for a public library project in Cedar Hill, TX. The site was heavily wooded and bisected by a creek. WCG began with a flood study that included surveying 1,000 linear feet of cross-sections and bridges. WCG then conducted supplemental topographic surveys to support the design of the library and hiking trails, covering approximately 26 acres of wooded land, adjacent roads, and municipal buildings. This work also involved identifying the locations of protected trees.

Additionally, WCG completed several boundary surveys, including one for a historic cemetery established in 1856. Once construction began, WCG continued providing surveying services, including access and utility easements, as well as construction as-builts. Later in the project, WCG participated in a “topping out” ceremony, joining a large team of contractors, designers, and local city leaders to commemorate the completion of the steel construction.

The project was completed in April 2024.
